Active Adult is SRACLC’s year-round adult day program for individuals ages 22 and older with disabilities. This recreation-based program is designed to enrich participants’ lives while supporting personal wellness, socialization, and life skills development.

Proceso De Admisión
- Contact the Active Adult Manager at the SRACLC Office at (847) 816-4866.
- A tour will be scheduled for prospective participants and their families to visit the facility and, if possible, observe program activities.
- An intake assessment will be completed by the Active Adult Manager with the prospective participant and their family. This assessment provides staff with valuable information to ensure activities are conducted safely and that participants’ basic needs are met.
- Schedule and successfully attend a free 1-2 day trial at the desired program location.
- Based on program availability, the participant will be enrolled in the desired program and/or placed on the waitlist.
- Once admitted, new participants will be reassessed after three weeks. All participants will be evaluated annually to ensure appropriate group placement and staffing.

- After the initial registration, participants will remain enrolled in the program until a resignation notice is submitted to the SRACLC Office.
- Program fees will be withdrawn on a monthly basis.

- Enrollment in the Active Adult program is based on open availability. If the desired location and/or days are not available, the participant will be placed on the waitlist.
- When an opening becomes available, the Active Adult Manager will contact individuals in order of the waitlist until the position is filled.
- If a participant declines an offer of enrollment twice, they will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist. The only exception is for participants who are still currently enrolled in school.
- Individuals who are 20 years of age or older are encouraged to join the waitlist.
- A non-refundable $50.00 deposit is required to be placed on the Active Adult waitlist. Once enrolled, this deposit will be applied toward the participant’s first payment.
