New in Fall 2023, SRACLC will inherit the highly successful Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies (HMHB) program formerly led by the Mundelein Park and Recreation District. The program’s goal is to promote positive living for veterans who were honorably discharged with a disability rating of 10% or higher through fitness and community-based therapeutic recreation. Opportunities may include golf, fitness, and aquatics membership plus a variety of monthly socials and leisure activities. The Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies® program for wounded, ill or injured military personnel was created to provide a way of transitioning back into the community as a civilian, through fitness. The program offers: two, FREE one-year memberships to the Health & Fitness Center; one for the veteran and one for a workout partner of their choice.
